  • CITY OF GAINESVILLE LIFEQUEST PROGRAM  - Congratulations are in order to the City of Gainesville, LifeQuest and Kathyrn Parker, R.D., L.D. for earning a Platinum Level Certification for it wellness program from the Wellness Councils of America.     • ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION - NORTH CENTRAL FLORIDA CHAPTER  Alachua and Marion County Alzheimers Disease Support Groups - click here for schedule- We are proud to have been bronze sponsors of the annual memory walk. The website provides information about the disease and a wealth of educational resources. The Central and North Florida Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association serves Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Marion, Suwannee, and Union Counties.  The local chapter has supported EASE: "Early Alzheimer Support and Education". It involves 8 weeks of two hour-a-week sessions for persons with Alzheimer's disease and family members. Session topics include legal and financial issues, making decisions, medical treatment update, family relationships, advance directives, and communication skills.
