• CITY OF GAINESVILLE LIFEQUEST PROGRAM  - Congratulations are in order to the City of Gainesville, LifeQuest and Kathyrn Parker, R.D., L.D. for earning a Platinum Level Certification for it wellness program from the Wellness Councils of America. Learn more about this achievement and click on their exercise, nutrition and wellness menu bars to access some great information about keeping fit and healthy, starting to exercise, sensible dietary information as and preventing disease. • ALACHUA COUNTY SAFE KIDS CLUB  - Sponsored by the Alachua County Safe Kids Coalition, this site provides information on bike, car, water, and fire safety. • NIDA FOR TEENS  - NIDA launched this website to provide teens with the science behind alcohol and drugs and their abuse. Great resource for education, prevention, and those school projects.
• Brochures for Parents to Prevent Cigarette Smoking - From Phillip MorrisProvides educational material for parents interested in preventing teen and child smoking on its website in English as well as Spanish. Multifeatured presentations as well as an order form for brochures can be found there.

AMERICAN STROKE ASSOCIATION  - A division of the American Heart Association this site provides information on stroke risks, prevention and treatment.

• FLORIDA HEALTH LICENSURE - REPORT UNLICENSED ACTIVITY  - This State of Florida Website provides links to help you ensure your healthcare provider is licensed and the ability to report unlicensed activity.  Due to the training required only licensed psychologists can provide psychological testing, psychological evaluations or psychological assessments. Beware of individuals who try to avoid state psychological licensing laws by calling psychological testing by other names.

• HARP: Health Administration Accountability Project  - HARP promotes itself as a resource for patients, doctors, and attorneys seeking to establish the liability of HMOs, Managed Health Care Organizations, and Nursing Facilities for the consequences of their decisions. Deals with issues such as fighting denials, consumer resources and issues of the law.
