Regina Melchor-Beaupre serves as our primary pediatric and child therapist. She has a wealth of experience in educational setting, children's hospitals and earned valuable experience in dealing with children and adults with cancer during her residency experience at Memorial Sloan-Ketterling in New York. She has interest and experience in providing psychological counseling, consultations and psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults who are facing or coping with cancer or other major medical conditions.

Dr. Melchor was specifically trained as a child and pedicatric psychotherapist and has experience in dealing with a variety of children's psychological and psychiatric conditions. |

While her primary emphasis has been children, Dr. Melchor-Beaupre also provides consultations, counseling and psychotherapy to adults coping with acute or chronic medical illness. Sometimes counseling involves a child, a parent, spouse or a family member of the individual suffering from the medical condition. She has provided interventions and presentations for employee groups and talks involving depression, resiliency and the impact of depression on medical illness. |

2008 Dr. Melchor is now a member of the Hospice of Marion County Bioethics Committee
Dr. Melchor will be presenting an in-service lecture on pediatric palliative and end-of-life care on May 13 and a lecture on Psychiatric Manifestations of Palliative and End-of Life Care on May 29th. She will also be making a presentation at the Florida Psychological Association Annual Convention June 2008.
