FLORIDA LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

We are seeking a Florida Licensed Psychologist (or may consider an exceptional resident who is seeking a long-term permanent position) to join our private group practice.  This position would involve splitting time between our Gainesville and OcalaFlorida offices.  The position would involve predominantly adult therapy, as this individual would be our primary full-time adult psychotherapist.  While alcohol and drug credential or experience would be a big plus, solid skills and comfort in providing psychotherapy to a range of male and female adults with mood, anxiety, adjustment, work and other difficulties is essential.  We see a range of patients from self and physician referrals, EAPs, worker’s comp. etc.   No Managed Care.  We are an established practice (www.cpancf.com ). 

The individual would become an employee of the practice.  Salary is based on performance (a percentage of collections).  There is a no-compete clause, and as an established practice, we are looking for someone who would plan on being with the practice for the long term.  Unfortunately we do not provide health insurance.  We do pay for FPA dues, malpractice insurance and provide advertising, billing, and other support.

This position primarily in our Gainesville office is ideal for someone planning to get some clinical experience before applying to graduate school. It would involve learning to administer and score a variety of intelligence, memory and neuropsychological tests.  We would train, though a minimum one year commitment is expected.  Good organizational and communication skills, maturity, and attention to detail are important.  Minimum qualifications are Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.  Reliable transportation is important, because there is occasional travel to our Ocala office.
