Caring for the mental health needs of our patients and consultation to our referral sources in the tradition of the "scientist-practitioner" model helps provide a sound responsible resource to the North Central Florida community. 

Our main office is in Gainesville, Florida, and we have a branch office in Ocala.

Professional and office staff are expected to interact with patients, referral sources, third-party payers in an honest and ethical manner.

Professional and office staff receive and maintain training to perform their duties with confidence and expertise, to remain appraised of ethical and legal demands of their roles, and to respect the diversity of the clients and referral sources we serve.

We are dedicated to providing quality psychological and neuropsychological consultation, assessment and psychotherapy services to the North Central Florida community.  We are committed to providing fair, comprehensive, and unbiased psychological and neuropsychological evaluations.

We serve children, adolescents and adults.  In order to maintain the quality of staff and services we provide we are no longer filing or participating in any insurance plans though we will provide a "Superbill" which can be submitted to you insurance company for any out-of-network benefits.

Our commitment to our community makes us proud to serve City of Gainesville  employees and the Gainesville Police Department with Employee Assistance Program Services.

Our Mission:

Clinical Psychology Associates of North Central Florida (CPANCF) is dedicated to providing psychological care at a doctoral level by individuals trained in Clinical Psychology and Counseling programs approved by the American Psychological Association .

Dr. Bordini has special interests in neuropsychological and civil and criminal forensic assessment.  He has 25 years of experience as an expert licensed psychologist evaluating head injuries, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions in children, adolescents, and adults. 

Shannon Caramiello, Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist, Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuropsychology. 
Dr. Caramiello has primary interests in neuropsychological assessment and evaluations of children, adults, and adolescents. Dr. Caramiello also has a specialization in working with LGBTQ clients. She has provided individual and group therapy to transgender teens, adults, and veterans. She completed a 10-month Specialty Care Access Network-Extension for Community Health Outcomes (SCAN-ECHO) training on serving transgender veterans. She also serves as the co-chair of APA Division 44 Clinical Issues committee.

Elom Amuzu, Ph.D., Psychology Resident, under supervision of Ernest J. Bordini, Ph.D.

Dr. Amuzu is our newest staff member, but brings a wealth of experience to our practice.  She has strong interests in working with individuals who experience concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment/transitions, relationship difficulties, cultural and identity development, grief/loss, and coping with traumatic life events.
