Volunteer Office Intern  Clinical Psychology Associates of North Central Florida Gainesville FL  Summer 2011

Clinical Psychology Associates of North Central Florida is proud to have Mattie President, Ph.D. join our staff on a part-time basis.  Though she has extensive training from all across the country including California, Tennessee, and in various locations in Florida, we first met her through her local connection with the North Central Florida community.  She has gone on to bigger and better things since first volunteering at our office in the summer of 2011 while pursuing her doctoral degree in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. President is currently a full-time Veteran's Administration Staff Psychologist at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, and will have some limited after-hours availability with our office by appointment.  Dr. President brings with her experience in medical psychology settings, pre-surgical evaluation, evidence based psychological therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, with a great deal of experience in working with trauma and substance use disorders.  Initially interesting in counseling, she became strongly interested in treating our Veteran's through her Veteran's Administration training experiences.

She will be assisting us with services for the City of Gainesville Employee Assistance Program as well as our officers through the Gainesville Police Department EAP.  She will also accept private patients by appointment.
